Successful internationalisation of EYYES through innovative ADAS solutions
St. Pölten, November 2024 – EYYES GmbH is delighted to have won the Lower Austrian Export Award 2024. This award recognises the company’s outstanding innovative strength and export power in the field of AI-supported advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Our CarEye® Safety Angle technology platform has been continuously developed in recent years and now offers a comprehensive basis for ADAS solutions in a wide range of vehicle types, including trucks, construction machinery, tractors, forklifts and special vehicles.
Export success #1: CarEye® Perception software for electric trucks in the USA
The first major export success in 2024 was the delivery of CarEye® Perception software to a start-up in Southern California that produces electric trucks. The software processes image data from the vehicle cameras and recognises objects in the vehicle’s surroundings – from other vehicles to pedestrians. These recognised objects are transmitted to the vehicle control system with important information such as type, position, direction of movement and speed. This enables various driver assistance functions to be realised, such as emergency brake assistants, lane change warning systems and distance warning systems. The patented motion prediction technology from EYYES, which enables significantly more precise object recognition and increased safety, was particularly decisive for this order.
Export success #2: AI computing units for off-highway machinery in Europe
The second milestone in export year 2024 was the delivery of AI computing units with person recognition software to a leading European manufacturer of construction machinery. This technology is being used to develop a new generation of driver assistance platforms that increase the safety of machines such as wheel loaders and excavators in the off-highway sector. The innovative EYYES solution prevents collisions with people and therefore fulfils the highest safety requirements for NRMM (Non-Road Mobile Machinery).
Thanks to the collaboration with EYYES, both customers were able to avoid expensive in-house developments and utilise EYYES’ AI expertise. This enabled them to significantly shorten the time to market for their driver assistance systems while increasing the quality and safety of their products.
